Beginners Matwork

The beginners session is an introductory class for those new to Pilates or those suffering from an injury. The beginners class size is deliberately kept small so there is ample time for individuals to work at their own pace and ability. The focus is on getting the basic principles right and building the correct technique to allow you to progress with your Pilates training. Exercises address posture, muscle imbalances and activating your core and all take place on the mat.

 

Matwork

This class is open to all abilities but is best with some experience and understanding of Pilates. An all round class that pushes you to work that little bit harder and challenge yourself. The class is mat based but often includes work with small apparatus such as balls, bands, weights, foam rollers and Pilates rings to aid your workout.

 

Intro to Reformer

An introductory class to training on the Pilates Reformer. The perfect class to try as a next step on from matwork and to add a little challenge to your training. We work on building strength, stamina and control for the whole body.This class is for those who have never been on Pilates equipment before or for those who have limited experience and would like a refresher on good technique and safe practices. If you are unsure whether this is the class for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

 

Reformer

A combi class where we work on the Reformer and Tower machine. The versatility of the equipment means these classes are open to all abilities and can be adapted to suit each participant. Whether you simply want to get your body moving a little more or you want to really challenge your muscle strength and stamina by training multiple times a week, this is the class for you.

 

Mum & Baby

Run in either 5 or 10 week blocks (depending on time of year) these classes are perfect for all Mum’s looking to regain some strength and muscle tone after having a baby. All abilities are welcome, we simply ask that your doctor has cleared you for exercise and that you make sure you feel ready in yourself. Our secure courtyard at the back of the studio is perfect for sleeping babies or they can join us in the studio. If you are part of a Mother’s group that would like to arrange their own closed session please contact me for availability.
